Dear Schools That Heal, 

Happy Spring! If you have been with us before, you will notice some new and different additions to the array of services available for the 2023-24 school year. Some of these services were piloted in 2022-23 including Teacher Focused Mental Health Through the Arts and Author in Residence. (see mini descriptions here, or click though the site pages for more information) Our Level 2 participants studied The Value of Play and Metaphor this year. Next year, by request, our Level 2 group will study Classroom Dynamics: Teachers and Children. 

In addition, Schools That Heal will include a new component that combines bibliotherapy with use of transitional objects (Teddy Bear work) to diminish stress and promote connection and empathy in the classroom. This component is called Teddy Bear Circle Books, and is described in more detail under the Teddy Bear icon below. 

This year, our Schools That Heal Network includes City and Country School, The Smith Street School, The West Side Montessori School, The Brick Church School, and the Broadway Presbyterian Nursery School. Whether  you are renewing or signing up for the first time, please read the description of Schools That Heal services 2023-24 carefully and let me know if you have questions! Early registration will began February 15th and end April 15th, 2023. The registrtaion period continues until June 15th. We hope to welcome your school to our Schools That Heal community.
