Supporting Teachers to Support Children
Schools That Heal Network
Services for the 2025-26 School Year!
Dear Schools That Heal,
Happy New Year! If you have been with us before, you will notice some new and different additions to the array of services available for the 2025-26 school year. Indeed, the coming years may be challenging for people who
work with and care about children and their teachers, and supporting both communities will be essentail.
Schools That Heal will continue to offer Level 1 seminars which provides participants with the foundational elements of Emotionally Responsive Practice as well as introducing classroom friendly techniques to promote wellbeing in children. Level 2 seminars for those who have already taken Level 1 will continue to be topic focused and involve classroom observations. The topic for the 2025-26 school year will be "How Politics Comes to School: Looking at Children's Play, Drawing, Dictation, and Writing."
In addition, Schools That Heal will continue to offer a quarterly Directors Forum for all participating school directors. This gathering allows directors to connect around their common experiences as administrators in the independent school world and has been a powerful peice of the program for the last 13 years.
To supplement seminar learning, schools may want to purchase copies of "Emotionally Responsive Practice:
A Path for Schools That Heal". This will make it easier for those who attend the sessions to share with staff who have not yet attended.
Currently, our Schools That Heal Network includes:
The City and Country School
The Smith Street School
The West Side Montessori School
BHS Pre-School
The Plymouth Church School
The May Family Nursery School
Bank Street Family Center
