Dear Schools That Heal, 

Happy New Year! If you have been with us before, you will notice some new and different additions to the array of services available for the 2026-27 school year.  Since the times we are living in are challenging for people who work with and care about the well being of children and their teachers,  supporting both communities continues to  be essential. 

Schools That Heal will continue to offer developmentally focused, Level 1 seminars which provides participants with the foundational elements of child development as well as introducing classroom friendly techniques to promote wellbeing in children.

 In addition, Level 2 seminars will continue to be topic focused annually and involve  visits to schools for classroom observations. Last years study was focused on the simioarities and differences between independent school early childhood practice and public school early childhood practice. This  year's issue is  study topic is infant-toddler development and practice. The 2026-27 focua topic will be chosen according to member school community interest.

In addition, Schools That Heal will continue to offer a quarterly Directors Forum for all participating school directors. This gathering allows directors to connect around their common experiences as administrators in the independent school world and has been a powerful piece of the program for the last 14 years. There will also be a number of onsite services available for schools that wish to participate.

To supplement seminar learning, schools may want to purchase copies of "Emotionally Responsive Practice: A Path for Schools That Heal". This will make it easier for your staff members who attend the sessions to share the learning with staff members who have not yet attended.
